Navigation critique

Takes too long, got bored, closed the page. You've got literally 3 seconds to make an impact.

Flash really is horrendous for full websites. Some people would just not get to that navigation system, so no it's not accessible at all.

As above, on both counts. Also telling users they "must" install flash is only going to hurt you. Most will just not bother.

Flash is not horrendous for full websites if it's utilised properly. It's a very successful platform.

With regards to your website, I sat for ages expecting something to happen and thinking the page was loading. I then decided to click random things and wala, found it! Not the best idea, at least have some indication that the navigation is triggered upon clicking.

The intro animation is also too fast, barely had time to read.

It is horrendous when you don't have a fall back. Especially when viewing on an iPad/iPod/iPhone..

Plus I use my browser to view HTML pages, ta. :p

Accessible?
No. No no no. Nope. No.

It's an all-Flash site that uses 'mystery meat' navigation. It's almost the epitome of web inaccessibility.

Intuitive?
Not particularly, though I don't think that's as big an issue as others might think. I've got no problem with asking of some intelligence from viewers, and once I'd twigged - i.e. learned the navigation paradigm - I didn't have a huge problem with it. People place too much stock on 'immediately recognised', when 'easily learned' can be just as effective, and may even be the better solution.

As long as it doesn't get between visitor and content, which is the only thing they're there for. Unfortunately, it got between me and content. Presenting a nearly blank screen to a new visitor? Hmm. Brave.

I had more of a problem with having to hold a mouse button down to access the navigation. Really didn't like that. Then I thought that might be something for mobile users - jab-and-drag, so to speak - until it occurred to me that it's an all-Flash site and therefore useless on Apple devices.

It's clear that a lot of time and effort has gone into it; it looks very polished and slick [and hey, that's what all-Flash sites excel at]. Unfortunately the user experience - the raison d'etre of the site - has been compromised as a result.

EDIT: In fact, the more I use it, the more frustrated I am by things not doing what I expect them to do. I'm presented with a near-blank page far too often. Back to the Adobe suite, I'm afraid. Nice presentation whenever I can get to it, mind :)

Oh good lord that was horrible. I'm sorry to you or the owner but that was horrible. Slow, no prompt to click to access the navigation system and it steals the mouse cursor. - To me, that is a definite no no.

as said before, sat for ages waiting for it to load, had my volume on full from some music before and clicked in the center of the sat, lets just say i had to change my underwear...my god man i dont like it at all :)

Style over substance.

I was sitting waiting for it to load (as my status bar said the site was still loading) when by offchance I clicked the mouse and noticed the mystery meat nav.

Don't get me wrong, it looks great, it's just not intuitive at all.

The design, in terms of colours; typography and presentation is fantastic. Really sharp, clean and easily readable.

The design in terms of usability and accessibility is very poor. The navigation bar took me a minute or two work out, something which a general user wouldn't do, in my opinion. The links aren't 'defined' enough by the content, it took me another minute or two to work out that the text on the right hand side was further 'navigation'.

As also pointed out, it uses Flash. Not something I'm a fan of from a pure accessibility point of view.
