I am very sorry to hear that. I have unfortunately lost a couple family members to cancer and it isn't nice to be frank but I really hope they caught it early enough to be able to treat it. This is a time when family pulls together and as devastating it is to hear this sort of news you have to stay strong and you can get through it.
Macmillion Cancer support has a forum where the other members are really helpful. There's loads of people on there who have family members with cancer as well as people who have had or currently do have cancer. So people in all situations are around to talk. I highly recommend taking a gander.
I lost my mum to cancer 2 years ago. Sucks loosing your mum at 25 - especially when she played such a large part in my life (was always a bit of a mummys boy)
Its a horrible, horrible disease, and i got off quite lightly. There were kids <10 with their parents in the cancer ward at Leeds infirmary. At least i got to grow up with a mum..
Heres to them one day finding a cure for this dreadful, dreadful disease.
