I'm thinking of getting a Gigabyte 460 OC since they are on sale today but I'm wondering if they are worth the £175 (with postage) or do I get another card thats not on offer but since its not on offer, I dont have to pay for postage. I'm thinking of replacing a GTX 260 OC thats got an annoying coil whine.
 
I went from a GTX 260 OC yesterday to a 460 GTX.

Imo worthy upgrade, what res do you game at? and are your struggling with any game you play If so then yes its a great upgrade at a very good price.
 
I've got the same card in my rig mate

it's dead silent even under load. temps max out at mid 60's when playing BF2BC

top card...best I've owned yet :)
 
The 1GB 460 prices are due for a big cut soon. It is probably worth waiting for the ATI 6xx0 series launch.

I am not an ATI fan. I own two ASUS 460's myself and they are (currently) excellent.
 
Ive got a Gigabyte GTX 460 1GB, its a fantastic card. Runs cool and quiet, clocks high also if you want too. Would recomend it :)
 
I also have the GTX 460 1Gb from Gigabyte and I love it to death. it's quiet, fast and uses a very low amount of power at idle. Fan speed is set to a maximum of 50% and it never gets particularly noisy at all. Good card. :)
 
I went from a 260GTX 896mb to a 460GTX 1gb. It's worth doing. Just cause 2 has gone from being unplayable at max settings but 0xAA at 1920x1200 to running quite good. So has Metro 2033. I was surprisingly most impressed by games that ran pretty good before eg. Far Cry 2, Borderlands and now they run flawlessly.
 
What kinda clocks has you all got on this card ? Ordered one yesterday so hopefully get it tommorow :)

Not sure if it's worth clocking it yet but an idea of what it can do would be great.
