How can MPD be advertising "unlimited data" when all the providers have actually abandoned that wording and are specifying data caps instead?![]()
I thought I'd post this here cause it's about the America-flavoured version of the Desire-Z ice cream:

I'm pretty appalled really, and surprised that Google allowed this! Glad we're not the networks' lady dogs on this side of the ocean...

That's actually illegal in the States. They passed a law recently, that states you are allowed to run any OS on your mobile if you want to
So, forcing a stock OS back on you, could be illegal in the States.
In the same way that ISPs routinely lie about 'unlimited' broadband I guess. Or have they stomped on that now?
I've looked at all their sites and everyone except O2 has stopped calling it "unlimited"!
Guess MPD is engaging in some false advertising shennanigans...
The way the law was before allowed companies like Apple to take you to court for jailbreaking your phone. All this new law does it make it legal to jailbreak or install any OS you want on your phone. It doesn't mean that the phone and OS developers can't try and stop you through by it as difficult as possible/impossible, it just means that if you succeed in installing software that they don't want you to, there is no legal way for them to take you to court.
Which is why even though it is legal to jailbreak an iPhone, apple still do everything they can to stop you doing so.
Well Vodafone didn't want my custom again, they basically quoted the deals on their website for the HD. They wouldn't even up the internet usage up to a 1GB on the lower packages.
