My test next Thursday, any tips?

Eeep, a bit nervous but I am ready!

Just got to remember to check mirrors before signal and when braking. Need to always check the blind spot on manoeuvres! And make sure I change gears to one when on tight corners!

My only advice is to just progress through the test, and while driving don't wonder about any mistakes that you might have made. Otherwise you will just make yourself more nervous about failing, and what a lot of people do: build up of nerves, and make a big mistake which does actually end up being the reason for them failing!

This comes from my own experience, although I passed my test. I wondered if I might have failed because of little mistakes I thought I'd made, which weren't actually even noticed! :D

Don't drink any caffine which can make you more anxious, just a small cold drink an hour before the test, so you don't end up needing a slash just as you're about to do you're emergency stop. ;)

Just remember to relax, it's not the end of the world, be aware of what you're doing and be sure to read the road and you should be fine. :)

Best of luck to you and buckeejit too.

Good luck 5UB and buckeejit, I had mine on monday and passed. Just try and relax (I couldn't), and just drive like you know you can do.

Good luck mate

remember to consciously move your head every time you do a mirror check so he cant say he didnt see you make it :)

Passed my theory twice first time, and also passed my practical first time just now!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!

Congratulations!

My alternator belt snapped the day I passed my test, hope you have more luck than I did!

Nice work chaps. :D

Told you it would be alright! None of this "I'm going to fail anyway" nonsense!

Now the real learning begins. The biggest risk to you are other road users so be careful, you will encounter plenty of idiots on an almost daily basis.

Do either of you have cars ready to drive?

Stay safe. :)
