Hi folks, a quick question - I am currently using Catalyst 10.1 drivers for my Win7 x64 system but a few games are lagging graphically. I tried updating off the website but got a message 'Cards not found'. I downloaded and installed a hot-fix but was greeted with a BSOD 'Pointer Out of Range' or some-such.

Is there any stable drivers for Crossfire 5870 under Win7 x64 out there that I could upgrade to??

Thanks in advance!

Latest drivers work fine for me, 10.1 are pretty old so I have to ask whens the last time you tried installing a new driver? have you tried any others besides 10.1 and 10.9?

Sounds like a physical problem with your cards.

I would take them out and reseat them in the pci express slots, make sure the crossfire bridge is on properly (maybe try a different if you have one)

Then download the latest Catalyst drivers and install the applications profiles as well.

Also check the power cables etc, attached to the cards..

Are your gpu's overclocked, what about brands, shouldnt matter, but are they two different cards?

I've only tried 10.9 10.9a and had to system restore to get 10.1 working again due to 'Graphics Card not found' error.

Have you used a Driver Cleaner of some sort in the past as that can stop the newer drivers from installing on some setups ?

Thanks for the replies...

My cards are virtually identical - the new drivers do not work yet when I did a system restore everything worked fine (plus games like Left 4 Dead 2, Company of Heroes Online etc all work fine too). There are left at stock settings.
This would tend to suggest it be a software and not a hardware issue surely?

I have always uninstalled drivers via the Windows Device Manager tab, and sometimes even just overwritten existing drivers by simply firing the *.exe installer.

Games may work fine, but can you verify that crossfire is enabled, with the drivers that work?

Beucase the games would also work fine with one card as well.
