480 SLI Call of Duty World at War

Is there not (as there is with mw2 and cod4) an option in thegraphics properties to turn multi gpu on in the game options?

Besides 480 sli is enough power to completly crush that game. It may just be that the gpu are so forward looking a game like WAW is inconsiquential.

If you have the framerate counter up - does it have a high framerate when your stood still and nothing happening - but if your moving, espcially sprinting and/or in areas with lots of vegetation the framerate dives down into the 20-30s and becomes very stuttery but immediatly snap back to a high framerate when you stop moving? if so its a known issue with the engine - unfortunatly its never to my knowledge been properly diagnosed but seems to stem from an IRQ sharing issue and usually can't be fixed short of changing to another PC or majorly swapping out hardware.

I had that with my old E6600 7950GX2 setup :( nothing I did fixed it til I changed PCs. It worked perfectly fine on my Q9550 with GTX260 in SLI tho.

I've heard suggestions since that it is caused by certain configurations along with Creative X-Fi based soundcards if your using one of those - its the one thing I didn't try changing in the past.

1 single 480 will nail CODWAW without a 2nd card needed. can you not set up a profile to allow 1 card to be used only?
