Royal Mail delays

Anyone having delays with their parcels this week or is it just Royal Mail being crap as normal?

Hm, got 3 small orders on Tuesday and Wednesday, all by 2nd class Royal Mail. No delays whatsoever.

Take it depends on what monkey handled it.

Had a parcel post first class recorded last week and still no sign... :rolleyes:

have very little post too.

Got software from Apple this morning. No problems here.

In my neck of the woods things are very busy on the parcel/packet front and I don't see things calming down until Christmas has been and gone, but management refuse to pay overtime to clear the backlog or 'utilise' the hours of its earlier finishing staff.

I just keep fighting the good fight and do what I can, without any real enthusiasm anymore.

Not midlands way is it as that's where my parcel is coming from?

A bloody week though to send a parcel takes the ****

I normally don't receive what I ordered but instead a card telling me to go and pick it up :mad:

Yup, it really defeats the purpose of paying for delivery to my door in the first place if I have to go and collect it

There's one postman round here has taken to leaving the parcels on my doorstep and not knocking the door. I only got my software this morning because I nearly tripped over it on the way to work. He did it with books the other week as well.

Well they tried to deliver it at 06:30am this morning and got a missed delivery card and can't collect it for 24 hours. Tossers!

Mines is the same. It would take me about 40 mins to walk from My house to their depot the other side of town, but takes 24 hours to get the parcel back there. CARP utter CARP

And the old boy in the depot is miserable as a wet day in a caravan.

It takes ages to get here and even then we only recieve a red card. Not early hours or anything, the postman comes at around 1pm with a red card and says either 'delivery van gave it me' or 'its from the guy yesterday'. Ordered something 1st class recorded on monday, was sent out tuesday and havnt seen it yet.....
