'Watchdog' - 'Rogue Traders'.

I love 'Rogue Traders' and i was just wondering how, legally, they are able to lure in and capture these rogue traders.

Is there some form of police presence that we can't see in case things get nasty when they catch them in the act? Do they even arrest the rogue traders at all?

it is good. i doubt any arrests take place though i'm sure a few of them end up in court from it and hopefully never work in their trade again

I think the recording of the people is enough deterrent to prevent any nasty incidents, plus the fact that there would be loads of people consisting of the crew at that time!

i doubt they have a large crew.
probably just camera man + boom man + presenter + driver/runner and maybe some muscle for security just incase

I think they just pass the footage on if an offence is commited.

There have been some occasions when its kicked off, think Vance Miller had a bit of a go at them.

My mum played one of the actor roles a couple of years ago in Rogue Traders. She said that they had just a crew of around 8 or 9 with no security. I guess the level of security may depend on whoever they're going after.

Last week or the week before featured a 'Locksmith' who ended up getting sent down.
Trading Standards set their own identical sting up by using a house with hidden cameras and then the police went through his front door where they found loads of evidence he hadn't covered up.

Love Rogue Traders, hate Watchdog.

Watchdog is like "Daily Mail Tv". Their formula = Take something that isn't that major x lots of hype about nothing

lasts nights one looked like they had minders as the van looks like its going to shoot off two guys pull the presenter and someone else back then seem to man handle them to a 'safe' spot
