I got this from Santander for being 46p overdrawn (65 quid fees) but I went in and said about it and that I didn't even know I was overdrawn or I would have put money into the account before hand. Anyway refuse to wait for an appointment and complain that it's unfair and that you'll go to the CAB and banking ombudsman if its not sorted, and put money into the account to cover the overdraft that you used. If they don't sort it out there and then (which they should do and you shouldn't let them get away with not) definately go to the CAB. It's totally unfair to charge so much for so little, especially increasing daily. Mine were cleared and I eventually got my account closed.

It's amazing how people can think 'I didn't know I was overdrawn' is a valid excuse. How easy is it to check your balance on an ATM? Seriously, sort your lives out. Get an arranged overdraft with the bank if it's such a big issue. If I go over, I just pay x amount of interest on what I owe...

lol. Teach you to check your balance and keep a better check on your finances.

Hardly Lloyds fault you cannot budget sufficently to avoid their well publicised charges is it?

Change to HSBC, they give you an automatic £50 buffer.

yeah but the thing is i didnt know as the amount i went overdrawn was from overseas transaction fees which i didnt even know about cos they were taken from my account automatically several days after the transaction.

ill just pay i cba with all the comotion dealing with customer services.

Why do people put the '£' sign in the wrong place?

Because they don't know how to handle their money, as evidenced by the content of the thread ;)

I recon they should slap another £61 on in fees, make it the even £100. Maybe that will teach people to stop spending money they are not authorized to spend, although I doubt it.

I got O/D for a small amount about £5 with co-op and all they did was send me a nice reminder to let me know about it. No charges incurred.

You should threaten to change banks and join Co-Op much nicer
