I applied to join last night. Who do i pester to get accepted?

I don't mind where i play, although i prefer midfield.
Also don't mind who i play with, as long as they don't chase the ball like an under-5s team :)

I believe its soulja who you have to pester havent checked in a day but I need them to accept me to! Ill play anywhere I honestly dont care lol.
 
Oh...Erm, I'll accept it tonight :D

Shame you left Soulja, you were good at organising a game, I plan on returning when I get my player to 80 at least and put up with the lag. I should be going ADSL2 + wired connection soon so hopefully that rectifies things

It is a shame but i just can't be bothered with all the folks who only want to play in one posistion, and i don't want the hassle of people complaining when i kick them.

Seriously dude we should all give it another shot, its just communication thats missing. Obviously up to you shame for you to miss out though tbh.
 
It's not a shame for me. I've started a club with a few people who i normally play with and i'm enjoying it. I hope all goes well with you lot.
 
A week since release and nothing has changed with the lag. So frustrating this. Takes away any form of enjoyment from the club games.

It feels like when I am not even playing this game, but rather having a telephone call with a friend over in Australia who when i say "Move up and left, then shoot" he does what I say.

Grrrr.
 
Well I have no friends in Australia, so can't comment on that, but it is poor. Press shoot 63 times then it passes to their keeper >.<

I'm tempted to write a letter to watchdog, see what Anne Robinson has to say about it.
 
Soulja, I have a theory.

Late last night I was just having a Pro Ranked match, when a guy called Esio msged me asking if I wanted to play Clubs. So I presumed he was an OCUK guy and agreed to the game. Went to the Pro Clubs section and there he was. I went ANY (bet you're shocked) and he went striker.

Anyhow, we got talking and I realised he was from America by his accent. I asked him does he post on OCUK. He says No. I ask him where did he hear about the club. He says that he just did a search for the most active club and saw that we played a lot of games and therefore applied to it.

Now thankfully he was a decent guy and we had some good games. But the point to this post is maybe your frustrations about the Club not going Any, is ultimately caused by complete random people who have never seen this thread, do not understand that Any is actually a requirement and couldn't care less about it and just want to do their own thing.

Now you've said to me that I was one of those 'Non Any' players that annoyed you, and you're entitled to your opinion.

But I was wondering if there were any other OCUK Forum members names you can remember who only wanted to be striker, or whether or not they don't have an account on this forum and simply found the club like the guy above.

As a result of this maybe many of the current OCUK Club members are not actually from OCUK.

I realise this will not have any outcome on you and your friends returning to the club, but I do hope it makes you think twice about why you left in the first place and that something can actually be done about it.

Take for example me, if you had spoke to me and just said "Hey Macca, any chance you can go any as you always go striker" then I'd have been fine. Because in my previous club, I used to always go as Any and whenever I play Online Pro Ranked match I go Any too.
Sadly the experience is terrible atm due to the situation with the servers.

I guess this post is also a heads up for maybe refining the recruiting process so we only have players within the club that are more than willing to chop and change their roles.
 
It'd kinda suck if OcUK stayed split into 2 clubs.

I'm all for sticking with 1 club, but laying down some ground rules. Just as there are rules in the first post, add what's necessary so that things are orderly and not chaotic, and everyone knows what is expected of them, should they wish to join.
