should i just use my pc??

I have a 50" plasma and right next to that is my desk etc. Should i build a HTPC just for film use etc or use the pc with easily reachable cables???

Anyone else got both? Or just use the PC for gaming on the monitor and switch to the tv for films?

depends how much cash you have to burn i just use my pc, but purely because it's easy and i already have a server!

Not much to be honest, id rather just buy myself a nice 5.1 surround sound setup that i can plug the TV into and have another channel from my soundcard so i can just switch the TV on select the input for the TV then the Amp and im away.

Is it going to be that simple or am i dreaming?

P.S. I have about £300 to spend on a sound system if thats the way to go?
