Ok, I lost my HTC desire headphones, which while not great, were fine for in ear buds. I'm looking for decent replacements. What should I be looking at for the best for £30-40 ?

Ultimate Ears Superfi 5.

I'll second this.

I bought a set to replace my dying Shure SCL2 IEMs. The cable cracked where it goes around the ear, and I'm getting a refund (a year late :D ).

The Superfi 5s have great clarity and bass response, and can get VERY loud .
I'd definitely buy them over my Shures again (which were twice the price of the £40 Superfi 5s!)

Knackers, they were available in the last couple of weeks for under 40 notes. It now seems that there's no stock in those places (Play being one place, and a direct competitor being another).

There are some on eBay for ~£5-10 more, but obviously that's out of budget.

Sorry. :o

I grabbed the SuperFi's a few weeks back for the above mentioned price and they are astounding for that money - Have a flick through HUKD and you may find a few bargains on there to investigate.

Went through 4 sets of SuperFi Pro 5 cables in less than 12 months & all replaced under warranty, about 2 months after warranty ran out the drivers packed up in one ear, after a load of hassle the retailer eventually agreed to replace.

Another 6 months later the other ear went. If the build qualities improved now Logitech are onboard then they make a great sound, but otherwise i wouldnt touch UE's again with a bargepole.
