in rattly cars, sometimes crimped connections are preferred, but then a decent joint heatshrinked and secured, meh swings and roundabouts, just don;t go paying £15 for something you don't need+should have lying around in your toolbox anyway!
 
Done, wires cut and and I soldered the old cables on, mind you they are quite tight now.

Rich sounding audio system now. Much better than the crappy OEM speakers.
