Possibly a heat problem as they always used to run very hot. My old GS105 ran so hot I fitted heatsinks to the top surface but my new GS108 runs not a huge amount above ambient temperature.Netgear switches are great until the caps go pop. They've probably started using different caps by now.![]()
I take it a "unmanaged" switch is basically plug n play ,no need to set any forwarding or ports up ?

Hey, my name is Suzette and I am the product marketing manager for the 100 series unmanaged switches. These switches are a great choice if you are looking for a plug and play switch that does not require any management. These switches offer some great features such as quality of service for traffic prioritization, fanless design to reduce noise and energy efficient models helps save on power costs. Additionally, here is the link to the 100 series web page in case you want more information or to check out the other models www.cisco.com/go/100switches . I hope this helps! Thank you, Suzette
The TP link range that OC'UK stock are cheaper and offer the same features! Can't see the point in spending extra on yours. I don't think you should be pushing your products on here anyway!
I bought this a couple of weeks ago, works an absolute treat compared to my previous wireless network setup,no connection drop outs and very fast when transfering large files. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-011-TP&groupid=46&catid=1626&subcat==
