Any news on when the playlist gets changed so that you need to choose SWAT as a gametype instead of getting it randomly?*

*note I haven't played much this last week, so it may have already happened

I think I'm in the very low ranks for MP. I just can't get on with it to be honest. Too slow to get into a match, then teams seem to be garbage most of the time - get raped, spawn raping and then game over to wait another bloomin 10 mins or whatever. I'll stick with the campaign with my m8 which is what I got it for. The good things I noticed were a big lack of idiots on the mic and people actually communicating.

It happened on tuesday (5th)

Another playlist update is coming on the 19th

somewhat off topic, recently been writing my own 'short' Halo-based story which is so far centred around a 'theory' that the Flood are a Precursor creation, my story is based around the 'extinct' Forerunner and their shocking discovery about the origins of the Flood, realising that it was created by their creators (Precursors) and that it will consume everything. so far centres around the Forerunners desperate efforts to find a fatal design flaw in the Flood, want to go deeper into Forerunner social structure, values, etc. anyone got any input on what sort of society the Forerunner are/were in the Halo universe, are they peaceful (akin to the Ancients in Stargate) or more of an unknown like the Xel'naga from Starcraft..? ;)

Origins from Halo Legends or whatever it was called would make you think more peaceful and akin to the Ancients... I say that because after activating the rings they had ships carrying what appeared to be the DNA of each species go back their respective planets "release" those species back so not to literally wipe out everything... curiously though they did not do this for their own species, however Ghost of Onyx would imply something went wrong with their plan as the "shield world" that Onyx turned out to be had no Forerunners in it!

But if they were not nice lovely people, then why go to so much effort to save all those planets species across the galaxy?

\o/

That was some serious grind work to get through Warrant Officer!

2 achievements to go, Buying something that req. Lt Col. and that stupid jump off and survive one and I'm done. :D

The fight towards Captain continues :p

Yeah that 4K was soooo easy, as it was in ANY game mode, so you could cheese it in Custom Firefight :p

i think they were very righteous, wanted to do what was right, etc. even if it meant sacrificing themselves. the thing im wandering is, imagine your a forerunner dude, and some covenant idiots attack your ship! what do you do? can they even damage your ship? because in stargate the ancients are more than willing to defend themselves, so im thinking the forerunner are similar. they have some weird issues though, always find myself wandering how they hell they were beaten, they were so advanced its beyond comprehension, beaten by a parasitic organism, surely they could fight it? another thing im contemplating, the forerunner dreadnought seemed utterly indestrucible, nothing damaged it! not the prophet/elite war, not the attack on earth, not the offensive by hood, it showed no signs of damage, and even when it landed on the ark and couldn't take off again i speculate it was merely out of power, think it could be protected by some weird slipspace technology rendering it well...invunerable to conventional attack?

the story arc im currently going with is the forerunner weren't extinct, what was left of their race merely left, leaving the galaxy to the 'next generation' and its going to follow the crew of a forerunner ship who discover the sinister past of the flood, and their connections to the 'precursors'. :) so far so good!

For a clearly avid Stargate fan (as I am, with the tattoo to prove it) you should know the answer to how they fell...

Think Wraith Vs Ancients... same scenario really!

Some games you just wish you had never joined:

Firstly I missed this guys head from across the map by an inch then he got me...

Then I got killed by a grenade miles away around a corner:

Then a guy shot me through a rock:

Then to cap it off I shot this guy in the head only for him to take no damage, he was sitting still at the time.

ok, some were in different games but you get my point :p
