Looking to upgrade my Macbook Pro to 8gb (from 4), as I usually have a couple of headless linux VMs going on in the background. They don't use a lot of processing power most of the time, but they defeinitely take up space.

Saw this on Overclockers:

Assuming they would work for MBP? Why are these sold individually rather than in pairs, like all the others? According to my info page, my current SODIMMs are only 1066.

Incidentally, would the 2x2GB have much resale value? I've nothing else to put them in.

Price possibly? Or that they do not need to be matched?

Do you definately require DDR3?
