Howdy

Anyone got any thoughts on these? anyone driven one? any opinions? owened one? anything to look out for? is the performance any good?

Just looking for opinions, on the 350Z roadster, not the 370Z or anything else!

thanks

:)

I have driven one. It sounded brilliant, was pretty quick, had a cheap plastic interior, looked cool in Orange and was quite a laugh. It's more of a muscle car than a B road basher.

Pretty much agree with this, the leather seats in it were quite nice but the dash etc felt very cheap.

Thanks for that, so it feels like a big car, instead of something small? still looking for something with more oomph to replace the MX5 on weekends ...

if you like the 350z and prefer the light + nimble sportscar surely the logical upgrade would be an elise ?

I would give one a test drive.

They are not that heavy all things considered (1500kg), but when you consider it is 50% larger than the 5 and has twice the power it doesn't take much to realise they are very different cars.

Personally i prefer the Z4 coupe, as these are twice the price it may be worth looking at an old shape Z4 roadster if big engined weekend cars float your boat.

On a side note there is a S/C kits for Mk3 MX5s coming out soon (crank issues iirc) and could be very good fun for similar money.

My mate took me for a spin in his 350Z NISMO coupe a few months back - absolutely savage, the suspension was very harsh but the engine with the NISMO exhaust sounded glorious!

thank you sah!

i doff my cap to thee

SOrry to bump but i'm in Sydney and had a blast in a 350z a few weeks ago. Really quite fast but the interior is awful. Lots of cheap plastics.

THe big thing was that the roads in Sydney are actually quite bad and stiff suspension actually started to be quite annoying.

Now looking at a 370z Roadster myself :)

BMW Z3 3.0?
The Z3 cab is crap and drives like a sponge apparently, but they're pretty quick.

I'd have said an S2000 was a bit of a better comparison if you want something a little more nimble, not quite as extreme as an Elise.

Still a pretty different car though.

I really fancy a 350z coupe next.

I really like the 350z, powerful and quick yet very deceptive. The Couple is a lovely looking car, but the Roadster mings. Guess this is reflected in their resale value and desirability.
