3d bench mark, mine and yours?

lols, you might want to try 3dmark vantage for something a bit more current. Or unigine heaven, for dx11 performance... or cinebench for cpu performance.... anything really that isn't from 2001.

Agreed with above, but for comparasion my rig in my sig below scores 54k, if i remember rightly that benchmark is very cpu dependent as well, cant really remember not used it for so long.

But its better to use newer bench mark software really, or ideally run proper games with fraps installed so you can see ingame frames per second.

Just for reference, here's mine.
E8400 @4.25GHz
P5Q Deluxe
XFX 5850 @870/1200

Surprising as your CPU and GPU should top mine. Looks like it's more dependant on clockspeed than multicore power

just did a 3d bench mark on my rig and scored 47008.

is that any good????

what benches have you scored?

OWNED

Only joking, Im quite surprised at the score.

Im not putting mine up I get owned by budget laptops nowadays.

i was owned and i re did the 2006 3d mark and got 30000 odd!

much work to do me thinks!

Try vantage mate, it's the most current of the 3dmark graphics suite and will provide more relevant results, and you'll almost certainly pwn my score (unless you're running box-stock and even then). The scores don't relate to eachother between benchmarks, so later versions will usually give you lower scores (being more demanding). If it makes you feel better, my 3dmark06 score is only 19882 :) My cpu lets me down quite a bit in later benchies.

If you got 30 K odd in 3Dmark06 your system kicks big time butt. :D

Vantage will give you a good sense of where you are in the overall pecking order of things.

im not in it for the bragging rights, i just want a system that can handle demanding games.

i will give it a go thou!

You graphics card will handle any current game so no worries there, you have a quad core, clocked past 3ghz, so again no problems there.

Don't worry about gaming benchmarks, load up real games and enjoy them. The benchmarks have no real world use apart from world record attempts and bragging rights.

Spend your time enjoying gaming is what i say.
