House renting

Im going to be moving from a 2 bed apartment with 2 ensuites, to a 3 bed townhouse with only 1 ensuite and 1 bathroom (sharing with 3 people now).

Rent is going to be approx £850.

Ideally i'd like to have the ensuite but not sure how much its worth?

If it wasnt going to be a straight 3 way split, how much more typically would you be prepared to pay per month for the ensuite?
 
Depends how much it's worth to the two others you're going to live with! and how much it's going to 'discount' their rent by.

Probaly be willing to pay another £40-50 per month for it.

Don't have to worry about anybody elses nasty bathroom habits. Like skidmarks, squeezing the toothpaste tube in the middle, leave bottles and **** all over the shower and crap all in the sink. Worth it imo.
 
IMO 250/250/350 sounds fair

or do a bidding war :) maybe sealed bids in an env.
Highest bidder gets ensuite room. Take 850 - ensuite cost divide remainder by 3, thats rent for each of non ensuite rooms, en suite person pays that plus the amount they bidded.

This way you are deciding a market rate between you :)
 
I havnt viewed the house yet, but i think the other rooms are fairly similar in size. The master room with the ensuite is going to be the biggest.

Im considering trying for a 3 way split on the rent, and i'll pay for the internet/tv etc which is in the region of 40-50 a month.

Ideally i want it for as little as possible, but i want it to be reasonable i guess.
