I want to water cool my rig using the new 600t case which should arrive today. I have not seen any 600t set ups yet so wanted the wc guru's to come up with a set up that may actually work! I know these questions get asked a lot and i do have some knowledge of water cooling although not enough to come up with a complete list of parts that compliment each other:rolleyes:
The case will have a Gigabyte x58a-ud5, i7 950, 6 gb patriot viper and x fired 5850's going in it.
To start i think it will only be the cpu that will need cooling but room for expansion of the loop would be nice.
The 600t has room for a 240 rad up top but i instantly get stuck when trying to choose which rad and fan combo to go for!
Budget will be £250 and any help would be great;)

:( doesn't look like a good case for watercooling at all.

Maybe a thin 240 Rad in the roof, but if you want to cool more than one component you will have to look at losing all the drive bays to a decent 240 rad (in fact any 240 Rad) in the front. Also look at the space in the top, its going to be a very tight fit if there is space at all.

Reviews seem to indicate that you can get a H50 in there but the H70 is a tight fit depending on what motherboard you get.

All in all not a great case for watercooling aparently. :(

I knew that when i got it but fancied the challenge-hence needing as many opinions and as much advice as i can get. It is quite possible that it will only be the cpu that gets coled so perhaps it is best to stick to a set of componants for that only (for the time being i guess)

phobya have a 200mm rad. So maybe 1 for the 200mm fan ? maybe you wouldnt need to lose any drive bays then. With a thin 240 on the roof aswell should be able to cool gpu and cpu ?

come to think of it the top is a 200mm fan aswell. So get 200mm rads and a single rad for where the cpu exhaust fan should be. 3 rads should be more than plenty.

^ a single 200 rad should be enough for a i7 @ 3.8GHz and two slightly overclocked 5850's, at the most I'd say get a 200 for the GPU's and a 140 or 240 for the CPU

also might be worth swapping the 600T for the 700D as the 700D is a far better case

Tbh I would stick with the 3 rads so the fans don't have to spin as fast therefore quieter operation and you are also prepared for the future if you upgrade to GPU's and CPU's that produce more heat.
