Overclocking doesn't 'always' void the warranty but it usually does. Depends on the brand, conditions and model etc.

overclocking voiding the warranty is old nosh, set it back to default before you RMA it and they have no indicator you over clocked it ever, its not like saying oh it never got wet, a physical watermark can illustrate it did, there are no permanent traces of clock settings left on a board from any vendor, so long as you dont flash the bios with new defaults then there isnt anyway.

It might void the spirit of the warranty , but when your the consumer that doesnt matter all that much, so long as you can sleep at night, save the few pounds and OC it yourself
 
that was an oversight, after i realised it doesnt store except whats written in bios i realsied that prev sentance made no sense, it doesnt store squat bar the bios defaults , dont worry
