So, I managed to break my clutch today. Ended up with the car revving very high but getting no power to the wheels.

What kind of price am I looking at to get this fixed?

Ta.

Is the pedal jammed down? Has it been starting to slip or did it suddenly go pop? Need a bit more info really!

I was quoted 250 to do mine but that's semi mates rates from the garage next door. The clutch kit us 90 quid for the parts, but from your description it might not be the clutch at all

That's rubbish, you must be doing something wrong... it's a Honda, they never break!

The 2000 model "Euro" Accord was designed by the European division of Honda so isn't technically a Japanese car, not saying its not as good as the Japanese Accord (its prob a lot better than the Accord Honda US make lol) just pointing out the diff. Its the same way the Focus was designed by Ford Europe not Ford of America and so isn't garbage :P

Was driving along, and when accelerating the car revved high but didn't actually put much power down. This got progressively worse, until I was trying to go up a small hill and it was just slowing down. Pulled into a farmroad, popped the bonnet and was met with a lot of smoke (or maybe steam...) and that famous clutch burning smell.

It still has some drive in it, but I wasn't comfortable to drive it home.

Going to cost the best part of £400.
When I get it back (Monday) I'm going to get the person who taught me how to drive to take me out again to make sure my clutch control isn't awful and just going to ruin this one. Luckily, it's a family friend so it'll be done for free.
I feel so unmanly about admitting to my inability to drive. :(
