What to do with green tomatoes

So got loads of green tomatoes this year what to do with them, other than green tomato chutney

Isnt it just they are not as ripe as red ones? Thats what I thought so can they be used like normal?

I was introduced to black tomatoes recently, they are odd. Very flavoursome but without the tang that some red tomatoes have.

Doesn't work they'll slowly go red if you leave them on window sill etc, but they never taste as good.

Window sill and put a banana or banana skin near them they ripen quicker when near bananas for some reason
