95 Bmw E36 coupe, Rear Demister stopped working.

As title guys, got in car this morning and the rear demister is more or less dead, got to were I was going and it had barely cleared 1/8th of the screen. Also i tried the radio as the aerial uses the screen and its all crackly?

Im guessing its knackered. Ill check the fuse later. Any suggestions?

Probably a dry joint between the screen and the box that sits in the C-Pillar on the nearside.

oh the amp thing is there? Ill try some contact cleaner then, if that fixes it, i owe you a cookie.

Does your radio aerial use the rear screen? I only ask because some ****ing **** snapped my aerial off and I was wondering about using the rear screen.

I tested it and it worked, but obviously I need something to stop the 12v from destroying my radio..

Yes, they do use the rear screen as the aerial, which is why if I turn the demisters on, I lose the radio

Broken technology is ace.

My old one did that, don't think this one does it...but then I only use CD playah anyway.
