if you had the money, would you have your body frozen when you die?

I don't see the point, the process destroys the body beyond recovery.
Rather give the money to family/charity/other people.
Nothing more than a scam ATM.

No I'm not sure I would.

I like the internet. I also like cars the way they are.

edit: Oh wait, when you die?

Well yes, who wouldnt??

Why would you assume that? Question was if you had the money would you do it.
I'm saying no, as at the moment it is a scam and damages the body and cells even more than initial death.

Surely we're assuming that you could come back and be completely functional and normal?

It doesn't seem likely at the moment given the technology used to freeze you means that your cell walls burst (if memory serves) so it's pretty useless except as a very expensive way of becoming a rather grim ice lolly. If they can get beyond that problem and manage to re-animate people then it might be worth considering - even then I'm not sure I'd be all that keen, unless you die suddenly when young and are frozen instantly you're simply being brought back as an old person, probably with the health problems that contributed to your demise.

A better way of saying my post would be "Assuming the science boffs in the future could bring you back normal" :)

No because it would only be usefull if you're alive at the time you where frozen 9assuming you could freeze someone without destroying them permanently anyway), and it can't be done then as it would be murder.
