Going for an interview Friday in Stratford. From where I am I would get on M42 jct1 then M40 down to jct16.

Just wondering how busy it gets during rush hour, say 7:30 to 8:00?
Normal time according to Google Maps is 58 minutes. How much longer in rush hours do you reckon?

An hour should be plenty enough, I can make it from J4 of the M40 back to Bromsgrove in 1 hour 40!

Traffic wise, Junction 3 to 3A of the M42 will be the worst part, after people have kept left to go M42 NE then the rest of the motorway will be really clear. Your junction will the one after, after you've kept right onto the M40 :)

Although Stratford is Junction 15? Well if you're going central Stratford.

Thanks :)
Don't often use the M42 at peak hours but doesn't sound too bad.
Yes, you're correct, jct15 actually! i know it is the A46 anyway so just look out for that :)

Well the good news is the J15 isn't as busy as it used to be as they've made a direct pass over, so people going from Stratford towards Coventry don't need to go onto the junction, which frees it up somewhat.

Give yourself 1.5 hours just in case. If you get there early you can always go to a local coffee shop and relax. :)

Do you live in Bromsgrove? I used to. :D

Always good advice when going for interviews. Rather show up early than late/not making it at all. ;)

BTW: Good luck in the interview! :D
