Why do you think people don’t like the Police?

So you missed what Basher said then "this is a few weeks after the guy got let off for stabbing someone"

Let off or just didn't have enough evidence to charge?

EDIT= Yes it is a offence like I said.
"The criminal law in respect of public order offences is intended to penalise the use of violence and/or intimidation by individuals or groups"

http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/p_to_r/public_order_offences/

Bear in mind that the POA requires the offence to be in a public place.

Or the cops could not be bothered? We could do this all day.
The cops these days are under trained and them mini me cops are just laughable and a wast of space.

You obviously hate this country so much - why don't you move somewhere else? Your constant moaning about other people (groups) is very tiring.

While i would like to say that i dislike the police, more accurately the issue is that i have little respect for the individual officers themselves, rather than the idea behind the force as a whole.

Without fail every single police officer i have had the displeasure of dealing with has been a smarmy up-themselves type, who you get the feeling that they were bullied heavily as a child and now that they have their little bit of "power" are out to try and take revenge on all that they can. Met a fair few, never a good experience to speak of.

To further my opinion of police officers, i know of a few members of the school which i attended who have gone into the force. They without fail meet the above too.

Well don't read my posts then...another simples
By the way I have(like many others here) dual citizenship ;)

From what PianoBasher said, he's not a danger to the public, just to one person - hence the restraining order.

Considering the fact that he has plenty of previous and is in court again next week for another serious offence, I'd say he's dangerous to anyone who manages to upset him in any way, shape or form. He's a nutcase.

Oh well, hopefully he goes away for a long time next week. Or perhaps the judge will have him planting pansies in the local flowerbeds as punishment this time... :(

I say this having had a negative experience myself. I consider myself an intelligent and successful person and generally speaking I dislike someone of much lower intelligence having power over me. That's not to say all police are like this, just the ones I have dealt with - one of whom produced a statement that appeared to be written by a 6 year old.
