I tried out some smoke shots earlier, after seeing Mr Jones entry in this months comp, I'd been meaning to try this ages ago but forgot all about doing it.

Setup below, matt black card and SB600 pointing up, 1/64 power (obviously the cable was attached to my camera), and using extra card to help direct the light up into the smoke, but without lighting the background
Exif's are there for camera settings.
I really like the abstract nature of the shots, the shapes created and seeing images within the image.
