Yeah it's one 640gb hard drive but it comes partitioned on 2 300gb partitions. It's a bit of a shame that it only comes with windows 7 x86 I'm going to have to reinstall windows 7 x64 because there is over 1gb of memory being wasted X(.

Would anyone know how this would hold up to my desktop computer performance wise?

I have a Core Duo 3.18 CPU with 2gig Ram and an ATI 4870 graphics card, which I would love to replace with a decent laptop. Would the MSI GT640 run the likes of Fallout3, Dragon Age, the Witcher as well as my desktop does?

Can I ask why 1gig of ram is going to waste as mentioned in nick's post above?

Thanks for any help offered

32 bit operating systems only support up to 3gb of memory, you need a 64 bit OS to use the extra ram.

Your 4870 will be quite a bit faster than the 250m, but it should run those games alright.
