Boomerang rental upgrade

I started out on a Boomerang rental trial about a week ago. Today I upgraded and payed for unlimited option 2

I already have a game rented out, but option 2 lets you have 2 games at once, my question is, now I'm on Unlimited 2 will they automatically send me another game out from my rental list?

they should do, i believe when i was with lovefilm though they required you to fill up the list to have atleast 10 items (so if one wasnt in stock to dispatch they'd send another) maybe check that they dont require the same system.
 
I think Boomerang do have that system aswell. I selected a priority option 3 which means you only have to choose 3 games but turnaround time wills be slower I think.
 
I do not like the way these online rental schemes mean you can’t select a game and expect it to be sent to you. The list system isn’t clever, you have to populate the list otherwise you’d get hardly anything, and you normally end up with a game that you only put on the list to get the minimum number of titles listed to actually make this work.

I just want to select a title, say send it, I play it, send it back and I select another one and they send this one.. Bit like when I walk into my local video rental store, and pick the game off the shelf and take it home..

The price of online rental seems reasonable, shame these schemes means you end up having two or three titles sent to you before you finally get the game you wanted. It’s a bit of a lottery as to if you’re lucky enough for the titles you put as priority are sent you.

Still was tempted by the single game a month, however could be two – three months before I get the game I really wanted, easier and quicker to nip to the local video rentals and pick up from the shelve. Could work out cheaper too.. lol
 
Lovefilm don't require you to have 10 games, they just advise that it works better. I normally only have 4 or 5 titles in my list and it still seems to work fine. To the OP, if it's anything like lovefilm, Boomerang should now send you out the second title in a separate envelope.

I usually only ever have one game on my lovefilm list and barely get any issues I've waited maybe 3 working days? Halo reach said long wait the night before and it got sent out to me the day it officially got released. So I've never really had any issues all this list of 10 is rubbish, lovefilm advise you to as it works better for you and makes it easier for them!
 
I like Boomerang, I'm on their cheapo £3.50 tariff and it works for me.
I only need 1 game a month, because I generally spend a lot of time on the same games (which I own).
Usually 1 online FPS (currently MAG for it's Move compatibility) and PES.
Aside from that, my PS+ gives me plenty of additional content to be going on with too, so I'm usually swimming in games.
I'd say that now you've upgraded they'll send out another choice shortly, if you're only on a top 3 list, then it might take a few days.

I have 3 games on my list at the moment and set to priority 3. Hopefully it wont take them to long to send a game out.

I actually sent them an email last night complaining about the recent service I've had from them, they used to be great but since I re-activated my membership at the end of August it's taking an age for games to get sent out to me.

I've been waiting since the 5th for anything in my top 10 to be sent!

That doesn't sound good. If they do the same thing with me I'll be canceling and looking elsewhere.
 
I joined Boomerang 4 days back I have 11 games in my list and they still havent sent me anything and i,m on the priority 2 package...

I,m cancelling them and going elsewhere...
 
The poor guy on the other end at Boomerang must be swamped with moaning emails as I've just added to his Inbox. :D

The new "days to wait" indicator seems to have thrown up an interesting scenario. Even though I've got King Kong in my list as a green light, it comes up on the new system as "VeryLongWait". So even though demand (traffic light system) indicates low, their real system is very much the opposite - low stock of the item means you've still got an age to wait.

I had a damn good moan about this and not receiving Medal of Honor. I wonder what their response will be.
 
I really liked the idea of the rental system but now it just seems flawed... A bit gutted I spent 13.99 on it especially if I have to wait 10 days to get them to send a game out to me. :/
 
I was considering trying out a rental service because it saves having to wait for new titles to come down in price and also having to ebay them afterwards but the posts here havent left me with any confidence that the above wouldnt be replaced with wondering why Im gameless for periods or the possibility of getting older titles more of the time!

Might take out a trial and see whats what.
