Christening...

Ask what your girlfriend is going to wear and wear something that compliments. If she is going to dress up, then you need to wear a suit, if she is going in jeans and a T-shirt, then you can too.

2 :p

Never understood why everyone dresses up for everything.. Plus your going to the pub after

I never get why people don't take the opportunity to dress up more. I love getting suited up for any occasion that lets me get away with it - I remember a great Sunday in uni when my house donned full-blown evening wear for an afternoon at the local :)

tbh that isn't a daring dare for a bloke, unless a kilt is involved, and they do not need any encouragement in that department.

Going commando in a kilt isn't daring, it's de rigeur. Wearing anything underneath shows that you're not wearing a kilt in the right way.

I think RDM has got it right, check what your girlfriend is wearing and wear something on a similar level of smartness.

I wear socks and shoes under my kilt.

Alternative response - no, nothing is at all worn under this kilt.

Yes, only smart clothes will do for indoctrinating and labelling children; nothing less.

Pfft, the kid is too young to remember it and unless the kid's parents are hardline Christians I doubt there will be much indoctrination.

My mother always told me I was christened. It wasn't 'til I was 18 that she told me what actually happened was she christened me in our kitchen sink. To this day she won't accept my reasoning that it doesn't count... :D
