Do lots of us live with Medical Conditions?

Sounds like serious evolution to me. Why aren't you a superhero?

Dude can't fly, he's got the shoulderblades the wrong way around to allow the attachment of wings, but during development they unfortunately didn't grow.
Shame he could have been on TV ;).

My joints click and crack, neck and back give bother, but I am 100% fit and well.

Yeah, but he's got a massive lung capacity and extra ribs. Think of all the things you could do with a few more ribs and the ability to stay under water for slightly longer than average, not to mention a reinforced spine. Let's face it, Batman had a whole lot less going for him at the start. It's not self-propelled flight or lightning from the fingers, by any means, but it's more a lack of effort than any other shortcomings, in my opinion.

I've been having a bad year in terms of health actually, seem to be 23 going on 32. I need a second surgery on my knee now, just ended up with some foot injury that I can't walk for more than 5 minutes with (hoping it's just some strain that will go away in a week or so), I recently woke up with a shoulder that I couldn't move and turns out I have tendinitis in my shoulder. My tinnitus is also getting worse and very annoying in the night now and I'm getting quite a few floaters in my eyes. I also have a few old tricks from rugby days such as a clicking neck after an unfortunate tackle. Also been feeling little off lately which I just had a bunch of tests taken for. Come to think of it that's a pretty long list for someone who has been "bulletproof" up until very recently and pretty depressing heh!

Liver Transplant
Splenectomy
Lymphoma

All of the above effect me day to day.

Also had a brain tumor few years back but I have no medication or side effects from it.

eczema, mild lactose intolerance, slightly long and short sighted. all mild problems but still annoying.

Also just did that Autism test and scored 30, but that is probably because my younger brother is autistic, so growing up with him might have influenced me.

Short sighted.

Can't put in contacts and refuse to wear glasses in public.

I have walked into some situations I could have avoided had I been able to see clearly, nothing physical but walked past some groups of dangerous looking youths.

got vitiligo (means if i get burnt i get white patches..)

got a sinus issue only developed about 2-3 years when and had a horizontal and vertical scan and the surgeon could not find any problems which means i cant smell and taste food as well as i used to.

also have a clicking jaw everytime i open it wide or to the side i've put it down to stress as it was at a time when a relatiive died and since then its stayed with me. so again i went to the doctor his response was "try not to open your mouth so much" !?!

finally my second toe grinds against its own bones and makes a clicky noise (like what you can do with your hands) but this is unintentional and after a bit of walking it starts to hurt a lot so finally went down the doctors got refered to a podiatrist and nadda happened. so intend to go back to the doctor and get an xray of it im asssuming it needs to be broken but funny thing is i don't ever recall damaging it..

all at the age of 22 :-(

I'm waiting to go on the transplant list at the moment, I don't meet some of the criteria at the moment :(

Where did you have it done?

I had Lymphoma in 2008 also, seems we are alike! Please don't tell me you have Intestinal Lymphangiectasia!?

Had an op in January on my bladder. They accidentally perferated it during the op and this led to problems. It's now healed but the bladder and surrounding tis-sue (tiss is starred?) has been left scarred. This now affects me every day and I'm told whilst it might return to normal, there's a good chance the problems it's left me with will remain. Can't say it's not disheartening, but then thinking about it, these problems are relatively minor and mere nuisances compared to the afflictions thousands of other people have to live with so I am content with putting up with it. I worry however, how I will cope when I'm old although I'm unsure of whether that's simply me being a worrier and silly to think of whilst I'm so young (20)

I expect so. I can't be the only one who fears doctors.
Although Haven't got anything wrong apart from a dodgy big toe, Dropped a bed on it. I expect I fractured it at least. But never went to doctors. Makes a nice clicking sound every time I move it.

Ow, sinse I went to the dentist & held my mouth wide open for what seemed to be a hour, my jaw makes a popping sound when I chew. I have had a Pacemaker since 9th grade, I totally depend on it now at 32, not sure when my heart completely stopped. It was made to pace all the time early, cause they thought my heart would suddenly stop. One time at the Docter's office, I saw/heard a old lady getting the same meds as me, sort of a odd feeling.

Had mine done in Edinburgh in '97. Was only 16 at the time. Second youngest transplant that ward had ever had I think. Mine failed very rapidly for unknown reasons, and I was straight to the top of the transplant list. I didn't have long to live, which wasn't much fun for my parents. I was out of it so didn't know a damn thing about it. But on the other hand I didn't have to go on a waiting list or anything like that, so in way it was a good thing. I didn't know a thing about it until afterwards. I would have been scared as hell otherwise! It's no walk in the park.

Nah, I have Post Transplant Lymphoproliferative Disorder. Which is basically caused by the immunosupression medication I take. The Liver was not an ideal match so I have had some grief with it. Suffered some rejection after the operation. Had strictures in my bile duct which was another operation last year. And the Lymphoma was what caused my spleen to become severely enlarged so it had to get whipped out because of its size and also to determine what kind of Lymphoma I have.

Not to scare you or anything! PTLD isn't that common. And they have preventative measures for it now, which were not available when had my transplant as the drug, Tacrolimus, was quite new at the time.

In all I've had major surgery four times, and numerous minor operations. I'm 29.
