Anyone flasher sgs to froyo yet?

The JP6 official and JPM (seems exactly the same to me) are the best so far. Had a few FC's (force close) with earlier builds. JPC, JPK etc. The GPS lock and tracking has gotten progressively better with each build and the lag is greatly improved. I always factory reset, clear cache and format internal SD. Avoids a lot of problems, oh if you can avoid using Kies do so. Yes it leaves the settings and apps in place, but it crashes a lot and I'm not so sure leaving it all intact is such a good thing. A fresh install always gives me less problems. And Odin once you get the USB drivers installed and working is solid as a rock for flashing. For the first official Froyo build it's not bad, the last Eclair builds like JM9 where a bit quicker I'd say. But yeah I'm very happy with the phone, kills my HTC desire. Just waiting on supercurio to finish his Voodoo lagfix.

well was a bit nervous so just flashed via Kies and didnt do thefactory reset etc... think I should maybe do it again ?

I'd be more inclined to start from scratch moving from Eclair to Froyo. You'll find the file structure changed a bit, directories and files left behind. No need to re-flash, you just reset & clean it all including re-format the internal SD from the recovery mode. Just back up any important data first, sync the apps and reinstall afterwards.

Flashing with Odin is very straight forward, not much to it really. Although if you do decide to start flashing ROM's etc, which can be very rewarding grab a copy of the /efs folder, all the important signature files are in there, but you'll need to root it first.

ok just got home - and did factory reset.... do I need to clear cache as well ?

any particular order - thanks in advance.
