Info - The forums were not open to new registrations till some early hour in the morning of the 18th. With the exception of a few dons.

You say that with some surprise, as if it was only on the 17th October 2002 that this sort of thing happens for you.
The forums got "nuked" in 2002 as the database was getting slow and corrupted then restarted on the 17th of October, did you never wonder why there were no join dates before October 2002?
