How much do you think diamond 8 speaker package would be worth these days ? It is a very old speaker, what is the total life span of these sort of speakers? The reason i ask is because i can buy these speakers in a package with stands for £110, do you think that it is worth it ?

If they all work & the cabinets are in good nick, then yes. Life span depends on the use really. Got an old pair of Tannoy M2 Speakers that are 13 years old & they still work fine (though they've not had much use in the last few years though)

I'd say that's pricey. I've seen the floorstanders struggle to sell for £30 on AVF. If you add £20 for the bookshelfs and £10-£20 for the centre you'd be at around £70, which is more on the money IMO.

ok thanks, i think i will still buy them because i can not afford a full setup of diamond 9, plus they come with atacama stands for the rear speakers. Would have liked to knock £10 or 20 off but i don't find many people selling a package often. Unless you know of some where to get this package for £70 ?

Unfortunately not. Though I said it's pricey, it's only £40 more, and I suppose the logistics of collection mean it'd be chance they are in your area. They're still good for the money compared to anything new at that price and come with quality stands, so you're not exactly being ripped off.

Thanks for your insight, i always worry about getting ripped off because i am rubbish at buying things and always regret it. But this looks alright, the guy said that he bought them in 2005 and has used them all the time, but never plays them at full volume and has looked after them. So if i can get another 3 years out of them, id say i got a good deal.
