never heard of this before but just seen it and found a few domains i want still free

my issue though is a lot of customers may think you've misspelt your domain and auto add the m or .uk at the end.

what do people think?

My supervisor has recently bought up a ton of .co domains in the vain hope that one day they'll be worth something to the actual companies who want them (think 'Microsoft.co' etc.). Silly way of making very little return, and a great way to **** off big companies.

Has there ever been an instance where domain squatting actually paid off? My understanding is that companies can force the squatter to give up the domain name if they really want to.

In regards to the OP I think .co isn't great for the reasons specified. It's the first time I've heard it exists tbh.

They can if either the domain uses a trademarked name (ie Microsoft.co) or if it's obvious that the reason the domain was bought was in order to squat and not to use. His boss is an idiot :p.

his boss is a fool only if he bought names like microsoft.co. if he bought names like house.co, alert.co, vodka.co etc then he could have a legitimate reason to buy those and then sell one day in future if someone wanted to pay for them.
