I just put this up for sale, I am about to place and advertisement in autotrader and do not want to waste 35 pounds by asking for a unrealistic price.

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2179831.htm

I had a look around and 2006 335i seem to go between 15 and 20k so am struggling to set a price, the car is in remarkably good condition (because it’s not used much).

So any thoughts or suggestions? Is it worth paying the 15 pounds for a premium Pistonheads advert?

I only have 4 weeks to sell it before we leave the UK for another 3 months.

For £50, i'd whack it on both.

Also, take more shots of it, engine bay, interior etc.

Can't advise you on the price as I have no idea

I would stick it on autotrader and take some interior shots.

And knock a grand off at least that wants to be 17k to sell it quick.

Iv got a cheeky bid right now if you want to save the hassle of tyre kickers, you know it makes sense :)

I'm sorry but that is quite simply the worst advert I have seen for ages. It's absolutely terrible.

For a start the spelling is shocking - you are not filling your average £20,000 car buyer with confidence with spelling that bad. It looks like you've rushed the whole thing or are just plain illiterate. I know it isnt the latter, so try and hide the fact you've rushed it.

Next the advert is ridiculously vague. Tell us more about the car. List its history. Explain the options fitted. What are the tyres like, when was the last service, when is the next service, etc etc.

Next the photos. 4 photos, none of which really show the car off. It's got the best options and the best interior colour combo yet there are NO interior shots, why not? You've got close ups of the light and the roof, why? It isnt an Ebay auction you dont need to photograph all the stone chips. You are trying to sell it not put people off it.

Re-write the entire advert and take new photos. Take 4-6 exterior photos including 3/4 views of each side. Get at least one picture showing the condition of the wheels. Get some decent interior photos that properly show it off. You can have up to 9 pics on an autotrader advert.

Come on, do it properly, how can somebody as educated as you even begin to think thats anything other than a terrible advert?

If I was in the market for an E92 335i - and my thoughts are relevent because quite soon I will be at just this money - I wouldnt even bother emailing you. You could make this car look so awesome. You've not bothered :p

Why dont you have a go at it Fox, you know its been looked after?

FOX, Thanks for the very constrictive post I will spend a little more time and get off my ass to take some proper picture and advertise it properly.

DiamondMark, well I saw the deal you got on the maserati so I have a feeling its going to be very cheeky :D

Thanks for all the other comments also

Shockingly bad advert for any car let alone a car worth over 18k.
Thread must be a wind up.

I will drop you a email. Are you looking for your son or trade?

Just to trade im buying anything at the moment to get some stock together in the next month, see if we are miles apart on price :)
