Alien swarm on steam is a lot of fun, doesn't have many missions (it's online) but I have over 50 hours on it (most people are bored after about 10 or 15 hours)

Nope.
i like RPGs such as WoW and Runescape but stopped playing WoW untill Cata and runescape is a bit boring atm.
It's based upon the mod for Warcraft 3 called DoTA (Defense of the Ancients)
It created its own genre, it's a mix of RTS and RPG, a sort of action RPG type game. You select a hero to play out of a pool of about 60/70 heroes, each hero has its own unique set of spells and style of play. The game is played 5v5 and the idea is to push back the other team into their base and destroy their citadel.
You progress through the game by trying to kill the other team and killing creeps (AI controlled units). You and your team try and push towards their base along a set of lanes which lead to their base, along the way you need to push back the creeps and destroy towers which defend the lanes. Killing creeps and towers grant you XP and gold. It's important that you try and kill the other team, because it grants you XP and gold, but at the same time denys them XP and gold which slows their progress. As you level up you are able to gain a new spell, or level up another one, leveling up also improves your stats which improves how much damage you deal, how fast you can run, how much armour, HP and Mana you have etc.
The game relies heavily on team play, and you need to have a sense of whats going on around the map to be able to help come in and help your team out
