Dare I ask what you guys think of the Audi Avant 3.0 Quattro sport ?
I know they cost a lot to run.
But such a nice car to drive.
We test drove one yesterday and the wife's fallen in love.
Any advice much appreciated.

I presume it's a B6 as that's the only one with a 3.0
Relatively fast, relatively solid, but not very exciting.

I'd rather have a 330i unless there's a specific need for 4wd.

Yep thats the one, leather would be nice, also a trip computer.
body work was mint, interior just needs a good valet.

DO NOT BUY A CAR THERE

Seriously.

I used to live just around the corner in Silverton so often ended up looking around the forecourt and knew people who had dealt with them. Every car on their forecourt had something wrong about it and they seemed to have a very bad reputation locally.

Avoid at all costs

Thanks for that advice.
They did seem a bit funny. (not as in amusing)

Yep, odd bunch. That car itself may be fine, but from what I've seen and heard - chances are there will be something wrong with it!

I remember looking at cheap cars for a mate a few years back and they had an Audi 80 (awesome) for a few k. The ignition barrel was completely mangled, and when I pointed out the entire jar of helmans under the oil filler cap (the contents of the sump was in the water tank) - he tried to convince me that was normal :(

Time to tell the wife lol.
Its advertised as a 1 owner vehicle, but on the log book its had 2, a gent who had it from new and sold it in 2009, it was then purchased by a lady who only had for a year ??
Big bills looming i guess.
I believe it needs a cambelt at 60,000
A big money job as the waterpump should be replaced at the same time.
Thanks for your help.

It says one previous owner, which is a bit misleading really.
Either way, move on. For £7k, I'd want a full spec car,

Seriously investigate the X Type 3.0 - it's 4wd. It's a lot of car for the money, and £7k can get you a very nice one.

This Jag love is getting retarded now, its a Mondeo.
Apart from a Legacy, what other car estate gives you 4wd and decent poke?
The Jag's a damn sight better value for money than an 8 year old A4.
