Hey iv got 600-800 budget wondering if anyone can suggest a prebuild system for gaming or a self build spec.

600-800 pound budget

I use 1280 resolution

needs to run all games ultra high all high end games

thanks

Seeing that you have set your resolution already I assume you have a monitor? Do you need any other peripherals? Keyboard? Mouse? Speakers?

There are plenty of good threads around for that budget. In general, you will get quite a bit more juice out of your system if you decide to buy parts and build yourself. If it is an option for you I would assume you are comfortable with the thought of doing so or that you have friends who can help. And honestly, building it yourself has the intrinsic benefit of getting to know your computer a whole lot better.

To be honest £800 for a gaming pc that will run Ultra high settings For All High end games is pushing it!!!!! heres a pic of mobo, cpu, Ram and Gpu that i would personally have!

And thats without a case, fans/watercooling, case fans, hard drives, power supply and optical drives

Sorry but thats my 2 cents :/

^^ sorry dude, but ouch, and damn,
no one needs i7 for gaming, or triple channel memory
and given that he games on a 4:3 19" monitor @ 1280x1024, running games at max settings really isn't that hard ;)

heres my spec

hard drive choice could prolly be better, but i'm pretty sure the rest of spec is flawless for the task intended :p
*waits patiently for the master stulid to rip this apart* lmao

ok heres my go
its all about comprimise when building a pc to a budget

ive added amd to my list as tbh there cracking cpu's now it isnt like it was 3 years ago where intel are miles ahead
phenomx5ssd470.png

option 1
amd phenom 6 cores with a 470 and a ocz vertex ssd
pros
super fast loading times
470 gpu for great gaming
6cpu cores
good overclocking

cons
short on hdd space (£30 can fix that with a mechanical drive ontop of the ssd)
upgrading gpu in the future could be expencive due to lack of sli support so maybe a 5850 could be a better choice?

Option 2

i7460nossd.png

i7 950 with gtx 460
pros
super fast cpu
adding another 460 later will give 480 performance
6gb of ram
great overclocking

cons
slow hdd
slower gpu than above

Option 3
i5ssd470.png

i5 with an ssd and 470

pros
super fast loading times
great overclocking
great gpu for gaming

cons
no sli or crossfire so 1gpu will always be the limit
slower processing power for multi tasking

Option 4

this is what i would do if i was building with an £800 budget with a 19" monitor

overbudget.png

Pros
24" montior
6 core cpu
470 for great gaming

cons
slow hdd
overbudget
running ultra high may be pushing it slightly

I agree either option 3 by Cupra or HPs latest look good, depending if OP needs windows or not, however Seraphs spec with 460 is more than adequate for the OPs current uses given as he points out OPs resolution is a mere 1280x1024, however the inclusion of a 470 does allow for a monitor upgrade

Or if you dont need windows, could get a new monitor now, something like

MSI GeForce GTX 470 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with MAFIA 2 £223.24 (£189.99)
Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz (Lynnfield) (Socket LGA1156) - Retail £141.99 (£120.84)
Iiyama ProLite E2208HDD 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black £110.44 (£93.99)
MSI P55A-G55 Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard £84.99 (£72.33)
Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9) £70.49 (£59.99)
OCZ ModXStream Pro 500w Silent SLI Certified Modular Power Supply £58.99 (£50.20)
Coolermaster Elite 430 Case - Black £41.99 (£35.74)
Samsung SpinPoint F3 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (HD502HJ) £31.98 (£27.22)
OcUK 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £12.98 (£11.05)

Sub Total : £661.35
Shipping cost assumes delivery to UK Mainland with:
DPD Next Day Parcel
(This can be changed during checkout) Shipping : £12.50
VAT is being charged at 17.50% VAT : £117.92
Total : £791.77

Something like this perhaps? Perfect if you don't want to oc it yourself, essentially the same as Cupra's Intel build but with 500Gb HDD and 4Ghz OC for extra 20 quid or so.

The PSU is currently out of stock though, and has only one 8-pin PCI-E connector but the GFX should provide you with an adapter.

Is it really reasonable to suggest a 470 for that resolution? If it was well within the budget set out by the original poster that would be fine, but I see lots of people wanting to stretch the budget, which is already stretchy seeing that it starts at 600. Unless you spec in a new monitor to take advantage of the wildly superflous GPU power, I do not think that it makes any sense at all to go beyond 800 pounds.

If anything, it would make a lot more sense for people to be more realistic about the GPU needs of the original poster and spec him a decent system for somewhat less money. Just because the budget can be stretched to 800 does not mean that it needs to reach the upper limit, especially seeing that we have factors to go by that should imply lower cost options.

I understand that the 470 is a very good option for a lot of people and that it gets a lot of hype from the community, but it should not be your go to for all specs no matter what. It has its place, and it might be very reasonable seeing its competition in the marketplace, but it seems contrived and not well thought out to just put it into every spec.

That is true, but the OP "needs to run all games ultra high all high end games", and IMO the 470 is able to do just that for a long while yet at that res.

Obviously all suggestions here are just to give OP an idea of what can be done at the specified max budget, so naturally you try to find the best for the money.

Porcelina is right, as I and Seraph also alluded to, a 768mb 460 will still cope with all game s on ultra high at that res for soem time yet, you can (as demonstrated) get a new biger monitor into the budget of £800 and get a 470 as well

For a limited budget like yours go for AMD, if gaming is your passion you wont notice any difference cept for the weight of leftover money in you wallet. And i dont want to get into the whole SSD argument ive been havin latley again cause im gonna start to feel like a troll but for a £700 budget to build what is specifically supposed to be a high end gaming machine perhaps best not to bother?

Ok m8 here goes my suggestion and i know you said you dont need a monitor but ive managed to stay in budget while building a powerful gaming system you will NOT be dissapointed in AND give you a nice new LCD monitor.

If your committed to not having a monitor then save the money, the PC itself is still beastly and i challenge you not to be satisfied.
