Ebay question for the GF

Amnesia, we are only talking £30, so not a lot of cash.

I dont have the item number and the gf is at work but will post it when I get home.

Phone paypal up before any decisions get made, they're a bitch to override.

Has your GF sent the seller a message saying 'wtf you left positive feedback saying you've got them' because that'd be my first port of call.

No she didnt, she took a while to tell me what was happening but she hasent even bought it up with the seller that he had already left positive feedback :|

Yeah I mean its odd, he left positive feedback the day after she sent it saying something along the lines of, "great service, very fast delivery" but then 10 days later complained he had not yet received the item?

Paypal do not care.
It doesn;t matter if feedback has been received. There are 2 options, when asked.

Enter tracking number.
Or
I will take responsibility (Buyer gets full refund as you have no proof)

Dude, bull****. That is just plain incorrect.

PHONE PayPal, speak to a representative, explain the situation and you'll be fine. Do not bother to-ing and fro-ing emails, phone them up and confront them if this joker wants to play hardball.

Explain the situation clearly and coherently and PayPal will duly tell the buyer to 0121.

EDIT: If the buyer did not pay for insured delivery, they don't have a leg to stand on whether it got there or not. Caveat emptor - if you don't pay for insured delivery and it gets lost/damaged in the post, tough ****, wise up to the world, move on.

I thought that once the buyer left positive feedback the transaction was done deal? especially when they leave positive then say they never got it?

They may have made a mistake with another item they purchased and left feedback for the wrong item.

If your GF can't prove delivery then Her best bet would be to claim through Royal Mail for a lost item. You can claim up to a maximum of 100 x 1st Class Stamps, which is around £40. Paypal will more than likely side with the Buyer.

Thanks for all the advice guys, she has filled out a form for Royal mail in an attempt to claim the cost back if he does try and get the money back from her, I have told her that next time she needs to use some sort of recorded mail as sending 1st class is abit of a fail

Calling me a liar then??
I have gotten nowhere an the 3 occasions I have had to try and deal with PayPal, I have tried ringing up, they just refuse to help. All the buyer says is that feedback was left in error. Even if it blatently is not.
As I have said, by all means try, and I hope you get somewhere!

I assume you kept proof of postage, as you will need it to make a claim, or to prove to paypay the item was posted, and where it was posted to.

I'm not calling you a liar at all, I'm just saying that your advice, whilst based on your own personal experience isn't particularly helpful to the situation insofar as you're not offering any method of fixing it.

Having phoned and spoken with PayPal regarding problems on a regular basis as a seller I find if I ever get would-be buyers trying to pull a fast one they're actually very helpful. If you approach them with a coherent case, state it clearly and provide them with more information than they ask for then they won't just say 'buyer's always right, gtfo.'

The only time I've ever been screwed over on eBay/PayPal was when it was my own fault for being naive to how the system works.

I can't believe I'm the first to say this on a GD thread after 35+ posts, but:

We need to know what your GF looks like before we can offer any advice, pics, etc.
