Got a bit fed up with our kids wii mote's eating duracell batterys and I know you can get those charging docking station things. But what would be the best make out there? I want something that has really good quality battery packs and not some cheap nasty thing from fleabay.

Im about to have a good look around google, hoping that nintendo sell an official one but if they dont has anyone got any recommendations?

Thanx for your input guys :)

The real problem now is both of the wii-mote's are in rubber skins with an additional wii motion plus stuck on the bottom. I realise now the wiimotes will not fit into the charging slots with all the garb stuck to them and to keep removing it all is not an option tbh, something will eventually split or fail.

Arghh lol... im now thinking if there is some way of having the wiimotes attached via a fly lead to charge them...

I was thinking about that. I have some duracell high strength batteries but they dont seem to be that great, our fuji camera still seems to eat them quick :(

I think there is an alternative advertised in one of the daily rags that might do the job! I need to double check that it actually uses some leads so I can do away with the cradle part and we are all set.

Im totally out of the loop regarding tech these days lol. I have just found something which is perfect and uses induction charging, never heard of this or probably did and forgot knowing me

It basically is nothing more than a square pad thing and the wiimotes just sit on top and I assume some magic happens and they charge and the best bit its not going to break the bank :D

Having tried out 2 different charging docks you are better off using rechargeable batteries. Hopefully the next time Nintendo make a system they will incorporate a charging method out of the box.

Im pretty sure one of the charging docks I used irreversibly damaged both my wii remotes, and now they seem to go erratic when you play games that require a lot of wiimote movement, for example, super mario bros where you have to shake the wiimote after you die to get your character active and out of the bubble faster.

Get these batteries! use them in my wiimotes, 360 controllers and all my camera gear!

The docking stations are pretty rubbish, the batteries that came with mine lasted a whopping 8 months.

Small update. The device we bought seems to be working good (touch wood).
All is not lost if the batterys decide to give up because they can be removed from the plastic backplates easily. When they do start to fail I will grab some of those eneloops and hope things work out.

Just to clarify! Are those eneloops sold under different brand names? It will help when out looking for some.
