Whats the best CD Player I can aquire for around £100?

I was looking at 'Pioneer DEH-3200UB' for £99.95 and 'Kenwood KDC-4047UA' for £76.10.

Has anyone else got any suggestions?

That Sony one looks good. How was the USB interface?
I've only ever used one of the first Alpine Ipod units with the touch sensitive slider bar and it was a total pain to navigate.

Did you have to sort out songs and playlists on the USB stick?

Mr Tommo, can't really remember although I did use it a lot. From what I recall it broke things down by folder, so basically I just pulled my music off the drive and it retained the albums and titles. I always found it very easy to navigate though, with a good (if simple) display.

I never used playlists, although I expect it probably has some support for that.

I thoroughly recommend this headunit.

JVC KD-R811

When I was shopping for one earlier in the year, I did lots of research. Pound for pound, you get the most features out of a JVC.

£124 - Bluetooth + Mic, sharp display capable of displaying small text, USB, AUX in, change tracks on the HU on your iphone / android phone.

Track switching on bluetooth is really fast on my Desire, like cd speed. You can also scroll down your phonebook on the display, click a button and it dials out.

You can also change day and night display colours using RGB 255/255/255 values. I have the display at night matching perfectly my HUD speed dials and controls in orange.

I've had Sony and Kenwood before in the E46 before getting the Pioneer DEH5000UB and the Pioneer offers way more sound customisations and the sound quality is better too. I thought the Sony's power made the stock speakers sound good but the Pioneer is even better.

You also get both display and button illumination customisation. to match the rest of the car.

What colours can you get?

Also have you got any photos of it installed in your car mate?

This JVC one sounds interested but I'm not to concerned about iPod compatibility it's a nice touch though. Whats the sound quality like?

Wicksta will be in shortly with a sarcy comment or 6 but I will post a short video of the colours this afternoon :p

Sorry it's a bit late, got shanghaied having to pick up some suits on the way home ¬_¬

Obviously not to be used as a bearing of audio quality due to the phone camera mic :p

Thanks for the video showing the CD player Khaaan! of course thats a better model than the one I've got my eyes on but can only assume that the colours will all be there, think I've made my mind up cheers mate :D.

Thought I'll post mine up. The bottom one blurred a bit when taking.

Sound quality is spot on too. I've had Kenwoods and Sonys before. Sounds good too me and i'm very fussy.

This you get the exact RGB colour :)

I've got one of these (Pioneer) in my MK4 Golf, mainly as the red matches my interior lighting. Great unit, but the 4200SD is a good value unit with 3 preouts instead of just one, and the SD slot, but the blue wouldn't have looked quite as nice.. still wish I'd have had one now as the extra features are only a tenner in money!

Nice simple looks, plenty of manipulation of sound settings available, nice sounding unit :)
