do you recognise these road signs?

I don't understand the first one, the one that looks like an explosion out the back of the motor.

It means vehicles carrying explosives are prohibited. In before the smartass comments: There are many circumstances where it is illegal to carry explosives.

So you have seen ones with the frogs and the tanks?!

Yes? Tank ones are found near army bases. Drove past one in Bovingdon a few months ago.

The tank one is definitely my favourite road sign but never once have I seen a tank when I see that sign. :(

yes and yes (to frongs and tanks)

Also by jove, that site is almost as crap as the MSN today photo gallerys, navigates like treacle, oh its yahoo

Most of them I understood. The carrying explosives one was new to me and I struggled to think of anything beyond a blonde wig on top of a car. I thought the frogs would be just "watch out: frogs" rather than "Migratory toad crossing".

The 1st one is the only one I've never seen as well, most of the others are very common and I could probably provide a streetview of most of them within a 10 mile radius of my house.

and where in this country have you seen this?

I'm sure I've seen the tank one around one of the army bases either in winchester or up near preston.

edit: ah salisbury have them also, used to drive past the base their often also!

Only recently passed my test so yeah I know of them all, haven't seen hardly any of them out and about though! the no vehicles carrying explosives one always looks like a parachute behind a car to me.

Do you stop and wait for the toads to cross, or do a u-turn?

If you drive really slowly do they just hop out the way? Do they have a toad with a lollypop stick? Share your toad experiences Keates!
