As I was thinking of getting some printed up myself, I wondered if any of you GDers had your own business cards to show off (a la American Psycho). The more creative the better, with any details of where it was printed and so on!

Or even any great ones that you've seen or got pics of :D

I don't have a business card at the moment as I've no real need but to give you some ideas have a look at this page which shows you 100 designs, some very creative. May take a while to load as it's a lot of pictures but it's worth it even if you use none of them.

Ok So it seems EVERY bloody youtube clip of the American Psycho scene won't allow embedding.

Spoiling my bloody fun

I was bored once and pressed a request business cards button on our company intranet site - an admin girl arrived a few days later with a whole box of them for me.

I don't actually use them for anything as I don't often speak to clients and the ones I do speak to occasionally already know me. Did give one to my mum though....

Mine were white, on reasonably thick card and fairly boring looking - just the company logo, my name and contact details. IMO that's probably all you need - don't bother trying to be too fancy - just a plain card avec logo with some contact details - any number of companies should be able to sort that for you.

Depends on the business that you are in.

I went a bit daft and got some metal ones (www.plasmadesign.co.uk) which I thought looked the dogs.

They got me far more business than they cost so it was all worthwhile - they definitely stood out from other peoples.

I do a lot of electronics stuff, and while at a trade fair, there were some business cards shaped as a bookmark/page clip, but actually were very thin PCB's. They were for Eurocircuits, which is just about the only company I can remember :D. Proves that being original works!
