Scariest movie you've seen?

Probably the Thai version of Shutter. Masterful.

Obviously it's better than it's American counterpart?
I've not seen the Thai version, but the ending of the Hollywood version did leave me with a shudder...

Which is weird cos I'm hard as NAILS! :p

Anything that plays on your mind. Whilst others are LOL YOU FOUND THAT SCARY!?...believe it or not people are scared by different things!

I'd say Paranormal activity because it plays on your mind. I also found The Ring and The Grudge pretty good.

Have to be honest though, the horror genre used to be my favorite, can't stand it now.

Jurassic park, when I was about 10...

Other than that maybe the ring when it first came out (speifically when going to bed that night and staring at the TV in my room...), most "scary" films don't really scare me, especially if they are psycological because I just get bored that nothing is happening...:p

I don't tend to get scared easily by films.

There is a bit in Alien, that pretty much makes me jump every ****ing time!

The scene in the tunnel / shaft thing, where he's pointing the tourch down them and then bam. ****ing nora. I've seen the film countless times, I know it's coming but still :(

Descent was quite scary imo.

If you want to get scared then you have to watch a scary film during night in a dark room alone with a proper sound etc.

A lot of people watch films on laptops while cooking/checking their mobiles etc and then say how good the film was. I could never watch anything this way tbh except bbc breakfast :P

This is a good point, it's all to do with the atmosphere in the room.

I watched [rec] with my brother and his gf. He was drunk and snored through 90% of it, so it was a completely unscary experience.

I'll probably get laughed out of the thread, but The Blair Witch Project scared the brown stuff out of me when I first saw it.

The scene where their tent is being shaken and there are weird noises coming from outside is pretty sketchy. You never actually see anything but the suggestion was more than enough to get you on edge.

Inside.

That's the name of the film, it's french so may be titled something like L'intere.

Human Centipide?

Shutter Island is a very good film, not particually scary, but has its moments that excel the story.

Tetsuo is good :)

Uzumaki (Spiral) is a really cool film! Well worth a watch with some mates. Just don't do it alone, cause it's freaky.
