Does this mean you'll never put the roof down for fear of messing it up.

On another note check the hood is in decent nick and if it's electric it works properly. I can't imagine they're cheap to mend/replace.

Nope I quite the like the idea of the open top, wind swept look, whilst wearing ray bans and designer clothes.

This forum is a bit skewed in view. Think about the amount of utter dross on the road, we're talking things that hit 60 in well over 12 seconds. A 328i is a "fast" car in terms of normality on the roads.

The way I see it.

Grand scheme of things, not that quick.

Day to day? - Quick enough

It will be fine for day to day, even my crap 1.9 is good for day to day driving.

£3k is a lot to ask for an early 328i though, unless it's in an awesome condition and completely stock! Head on over to e36 coupe and check out the For Sale section for an idea as to the right sort of price.

To my knowledge it's completely stock and very very well looked after, from seeing it in the flesh last time I would say it's worth 3k. But what do I know, hence I'm asking!

This is true.

However, at the same time, I know if it was important she wouldn't have scimped out, it really has been dealt with on the basis that, if it needed something done, it was doing properly by reliable people

- Which makes this car even more tempting!
