m24 is a 1 hit kill up close.

Yeah, I find the problem with it is the trail a shot leaves behind. It makes it easy for people to see where you are quite quickly, so you have to keep moving. It's also not as flexible as the SVU but then its a different sort of rifle, so...

Tefal is pretty l33t with the M24 btw.

true but at close range it's not too much of an issue, and at long range ideally whoever you shot at is dead before they even saw you.

, so you have to keep moving

kill cam means they know exactly where you are so you should always be moving.

how so?

I find the svu irritating, because at range 1 hs won't be a 1 hit kill, and up close it's more difficult to get the pure dmg in before your aim gets knocked off (assuming you can't get a hs)

:D

only main gun i got plat with 9only other gun i have plat on is the 1911 pistol)¬_¬

I think you must be using them wrong, the M60 is complete overkill.

My favourite assault guns are the XM8 and the M416, burst fire and single shot tap firing for range works a treat.

All the Engy guns are great, but you have to fire sparingly, because they lack ammo.
They're SMGs so use them as such, they're not meant for long range shooting (though sniping headshots with the Uzi is awesome) Up close firing automatic they can beat an assault rifle to the kill

I don't notice much difference between the medic guns an ymore, but the MG36 is the one I go for, the red-dot sight is great for placing headshots on everyone

The problem is im a spray and pray noob (yea I said it!), so the way I use the guns, may not fit the way the guns should be used..

The game seems like such a bad port. Even with low settings and high fps the game just doesnt feel smooth even with the mouse acceleration fix. Dice really need to put a lot work in for BF3 to make it run buttery smooth.

I decided to buy this and try it out. Its pretty much as I expected, its like the retard child of the Battlefield series. I really miss the bigger maps of the older games.

It's quite hit or miss now if you get a good game or not. Sometimes it will be full of all the things that spoil this game - 40mm nade spamming, CG spamming, medics reviving you so you can be killed over and over, your whole team camping and contributing nothing and some good old base raping. If you catch a game at it's worst then it can be pretty poor.

Saying all that, some games are really good with coordination and team work.

Nooooooo, if you spawn on your squad/get revived **** it you should ,vulnerable from the start, it's so annoying when you're attacking someone and their immortal mate appears next to them and survives to kill you.

Spawn in base = yes have spawn immunity, spawn on squad you should be vulnerable.

Agree

This game is absolutly awsome when every one pulls their weight plays their part, goes hell for leather and actually tries to achive your temas objective.

HOWEVER, it is very rare to finda server where both teams are actually doing what they should be, most of the time its just campers vs campers.. and thats boring.

How can they encourage people to play the game for the objectives??

There should be a cap per team, on the number of snipers, engineer, assualt etc.... basically forcing people to choose a class....

In this way you get a good mix, and you as a player play with a kit you may not choose that much becuase you prefer smething else etc....

Yeah very true, although I really mean in terms of close combat - e.g; I'm in a village next to a house and shooting out into the street or something, big white tracer flies past the buddies of the guy who I've just shot.

If I use something else like the SVU then I know I've got at least 5-6 seconds to kill someone else (or lay C4, have a sip of some Tea etc.) before I need to move. The tracer on the M24 kinda gives it away, so you're right, you have to keep moving continuously.

Not that I don't like the M24 of course, just my preference :)

I treat the SVU like the M1 or M14 I guess. I just put a red dot on it and away I go. I find with the 4x or 12x scope is terrible, I can barely hit the mark with it.

To whoever was saying the M60 is OP I completely agree :D

Just played a few rounds with it before and when previously I have used it with 4x scope instead used it with the red dot and I was unstoppable. Two rounds with at least +10 more kills than deaths and the squad I was in was really good so was in the top few on the rounds scores as well.

Great weapon, accurate and it kicks some butt too :D Can see my future few days at least as medic play!
