Missus done for speeding x3 in a week!

Someone mentioned earlier about looking at the photos - if she's not identifiable, you could perhaps try claiming you were driving her to work at the time as she was ill or something and taking a few of the points for her?

It's really either that or puppy dog eyes to the magistrate and a sob story, I can't see many other ways you can avoid the inevitable...

Christ, doing her for 57 and 59 I can understand, but the 55 seems pretty stingy. So much for the 10% +2 rule then eh?

It's an average though, so most likely at times she was above this.

From a legal perspective that can't be proved and therefore can't be assumed though surely. Cruise Control for example would keep it pretty steady.

Pfft. More care required through these average cameras methinks. Sitting at a sat-nav indicated 55 will be stopped.

Poxy scameras

Didn't the camera flash ?

Surely if she knew the first time she wouldn't have done it another 2 times and should be counted as the same offence ?

Fox is right, she should be able to reapply straight away, i'd be booking a driving test asap! Pretty sure someone else got banned on these forums within the first 2 years and they were driving again less that a month after loosing there license.

I always wondered if they were live specs camera's or not on the A43!

Specs don't flash. They just record the number plates passing under the gantries and when the same plate is recorded for the 2nd time can work out the average speed.

If she has not had the licence for 2 years she will not get banned she will just have to take her test again. Book the test not for a few weeks after the sencond penalty will be issued as she will need to apply for a new prvisional licence.

Not seeing the 50 off massive 50mph signs is not realy an excuse if you go to court you will probably still get 9 points and a bigger fine.

10%+2 rule is a guidline for fairness not all areas use this. You can be prosercuted for doing 1 over the limit but in practice they will not bother. Remember it a LIMIT.
Just becuse the car in front is doing 55 you dont have too.

At the end of the day she has comited a crime and will learn from her mistake the hard way. Maybe a new bike for christmas :D

indeed write off asking for proof as to who was driving (if asked state you both use this road with the car regularly )

this buys you a week or so to make sure no more tickets drop through the letter box

get proof or not, you take 6 points leave her with 3

enjoy the fruits of your labour with a very grateful g/f
